Should I weigh food raw or cooked?
1. When measuring an ingredient you are cooking measure it in the state at which the nutritional states. For instance, The serving size for quinoa is measured uncooked typically but the same goes for meat and other items. This sounds small but meat can lose up to 20% (depends on the quality of the meat) of its weight after being cooked. On a 10 ounce chicken breast it can throw your tracking off 13 calories by entering a post cooked breast when the nutrition info is based on raw. Quality data in= Quality data out.Making Healthy Crock-Pot Meals
2. Buy yourself a Wemo Insight Switch! It allows you to turn on and off your crockpot from your cellphone AND program automatic on/off times for your to set for some meals. If you don't already have a crockpot I highly encourage that it is the ultimate time saver. Yes, you can buy crockpots now hat you can program automatically but being able to turn it on/off from your phone is a nice additional feature so save your money and don't buy the crockpot with all the extras then use the money to purchase the Wemo.Live the Fit-Fresh-Real lifestyle!
